I want to raise my children in a community that values education, which provides all students with opportunities to thrive as individual and independent learners. A community that understands that every student has different needs, and we need to make sure that we are creating opportunities for all.

Passionate to Serve the Berlin Community

Over the past six years serving as a member of the Board of Education, it is evident that our community values a robust educational system. Raising children in a town with a strong educational system is imperative to their success as our future leaders. Maintaining our school system is integral for our student’s future success. I am passionate about contributing to the success of our students, schools, and community. The Berlin Board of Education is a non-partisan board and we are not on the ballot based on party affiliation. This has allowed us to keep politics out of education while working to drive the district forward.

I am married to a lifelong Berlin resident, William Dennis. In August 2020, we welcomed our first child, Jack William Dennis. In addition to Jack, we have two rescue dogs, Melly (Border Collie) and Milo (Australian Shepard). Before the pandemic, we traveled and discovered new places, and learned the history and cultures within the United States and various parts of the world.

I have been in education since 2007. For the first nine years of my teaching career, I was an elementary school teacher in New Haven. Six years ago, I decided to make a switch from elementary school to high school. I am a Business Education teacher, and I teach 9-12 grade Principles of Finance, Financial Planning, Global Business, and Introduction to Business. I am passionate about educating students and helping them achieve their full potential in and out of the classroom.

I am a lifelong learner and value the importance of education. I hold a bachelor’s degree and three graduate degrees specializing in education, business, and educational leadership.
